Vickie and Carolina Carlos's wife teach the children. They have been watching the last few weeks a video series on "Heroes of the Bible".
Restoration Ministries was started for the sole purpose of providing help to the poor mountain people of Southeastern Guatemala. Our motto is: "Making a Spiritual Difference by Meeting Physical Needs". It is our primary goal to share the gospel of Jesus by providing help through blankets for children, water cisterns from rain water run off, construction projects, short-term teams, medical clinics, and sponsoring children monthly in order for them to attend middle school and beyond.

Melissa, Gustavo, Brayden and Brent are in need of somewhere to live. Vickie and I have been praying for the funds to build two rooms on the second floor for them. In January money came in to finish the stucco on the inside of the two rooms. This month God provided thru people like you the money to provide the stucco for the outside of the rooms and tile for the floor. We praying for the funds to put on the three doors, five windows and the wiring for the electricity. We need $1,500 to finish the two rooms. Then we will start on the kitchen and the bathroom.

Jeny was born with no use of her left arm, both legs and her left eye was not focusing straight. Her left eye tended to stay next to her nose. The Doctor at Fundabiem the organization where Jeny goes for her therapy recommended she go see an eye Doctor. Jeny, Jeny's daddy and myself went to the eye Doctor in Chiquimula. The eye Doctor is going to try having Jeny wear a patch to strengthen her left eye. Jeny has been going to Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy for one year. We are excited about the progress she has made. Pray for Jeny as she continues her therapy.

Thanks to several people giving money to the ministry we were able to continue the construction on the second floor. The two rooms were stuccoed. We are planning to tile the rooms as money is available. The two rooms will be used for our daughter Melissa, Gustavo (her husband), our grandsons Brayden and Brent.

Jeny's Therapy
Jeny continues her therapy for her left arm and both her legs. She was born with no use of her left arm and legs. She has been going to an organization which offers therapy for her since January 2011. All the staff are excited about the movement in her left arm. She is able to lift things now that she was not able to do before. To God be the glory.
The Doctor at Fundabiem the organization where she has therapy sent her to the eye doctor. Jeny's left eye had a tendancy to go toward her nose. She went for her first appointment on the 21st. The doctor said she wanted her to wear a patch over her right eye in order to strengthen her left eye. Her parents are very grateful for Jeny's sponsors who provide therapy and now eye care.

Operation Warm-up
On the 5th of January, Melissa, her husband Gustavo, and myself went to Pastor Rafael's church in Concepcion Las Minas. His church is near the El Salvadorian border. We all enjoyed breakfast prepared by his wife and daughters. Pastor Rafael showed us the way to the church in Esquipulas. Pastor Mario is the pastor of the church. The people were very excited to see us drive up at the church. Fifty-eight blankets were handed out to the children of the church and community. You could see the joy on the faces of the children as they received their blanket. Thank you for each one who gave in order that the children could have a blanket to call their own. You all such a great blessing to the Guatemalan people.
You can help keep a child warm for only $10 a blanket. The blanket size is large enough to fit a queen size bed. Send your tax deductible gift to: Restoration Ministries
